Eating Addiction Help Seminars

Eating Addiction Help Seminar

The seminars and the School for Healing Emotional Eating provide a program that teaches people how to live an authentic, functional life rather than focus on a journey towards perfection.

The program explains addictions, what they are and the purpose they serve, and specifically explain why the addiction to food is so powerful.

You will be given a psychological overview of how your sense of self originates and what this has to do with eating disorders. A thorough discussion on what sub-personalities are, how they develop, and the roles they play throughout life – especially in terms of addictive behaviors.

Additionally, a thorough explanation on how the mind functions relevant to pattern/habit development, how the chemical neurotransmitter dopamine relates to pleasure and reward centers of the brain and how this relates to food, and the ability to create new neural pathways exists for everyone.

We will look at how stress plays an ongoing role in addictive-behavior.

Also, we will be experientially guiding participants on what it feels like to be present in the body and how this is a critical key to feeling feelings rather than feeding them.

There will be a discussion of the seven routines which function as the core of the program and how to integrate these routines into your life.

'Of all the creatures on earth, only human beings can change their patterns. Humankind alone is the architect of his or her destiny. The greatest revolution of our generation is that humans, by changing their inner attitudes of mind, can change the outer aspects of their lives'  ~ William James

Private Speaking Engagements

Kimberly Wolfe and Gary Mahoney are available for speaking about healing emotional eating at private engagements. Their combined expertise in this field combined with compelling presentations provides a fascinating focus of discussion for small or medium-sized gatherings such as professional groups, networking functions, schools, associations and clubs. Virtually everyone can relate personally or indirectly to weight issues and emotional eating. The need for this information is in great demand in our society, as evidenced by the chronic obsession with food, diets and obesity- related health issues.
